Congratulations your property sale has been completed. You can now pick up your keys.
Your solicitor will need you to sign the deed of transfer so if this has not yet been done please ensure you have made an appointment to meet with your solicitor as soon as possible.
As the new legal owner, you are now responsible for all the insurance and tax responsibilities of the property. You can legally sell this property. More importantly you can now enjoy unencumbered enjoyment of the property.
All of the post-completion items are taken care of by your solicitor and as the client, you do not need to do anything. In the meantime, we would like to hear your thoughts on how we can improve and how your solicitor may improve their service to their clients.
Your solicitor will now tend to post-completion work, such as registering the mortgage with the Property Registration Authority and paying the stamp duty.
Your solicitor, the bank, the Property Registration Authority, the Revenue and others are involved in the post-completion work.
